Averages over 50 mazes per row, seeds STAT-0 to STAT-49, computed with the same engine that draws the sheets. The ages are our starting suggestion, not a test result.
From the youngest pack to the oldest, the number of dead ends grows from about 5 to about 38. That is the real step up: a young child can follow one path, while an older one has to notice a wrong turn, go back and try again.
Start one pack below the child's age if mazes are new to them, and move up when they finish without help. More detail is in the guide to maze difficulty by age. For a child who can't read yet, show that the arrow means start and the star means finish, then trace the first maze together with a finger before using a crayon.
Print a pack single-sided and hand out different pages, so neighbours don't share an answer. Keep the answer pages at the back for yourself. Need 30 different mazes? Open a pack in the maze maker and set Mazes to 30. Four to a page saves paper at the Starter and Easy levels. The same settings always give the same mazes, so you can print the same set next term.
You can photocopy these PDFs freely for classes and clubs, and include the mazes in workbooks you sell. No attribution is needed. This covers the mazes, not the site's text and code. Older children may want the hard printable mazes.
